"I was looking for a way to enhance my lips, but wanted to avoid the artificial look that can be caused by fillers like collagen. In the past, I tried fillers but was disappointed because they did not give me the lift I needed on the upper lip. The lip suspension technique elevated my upper lip, rather than just expanding it. The procedure also shortened the drooping space between my nose and upper lip. The results were so beautiful and so natural-looking that I wanted to share my experience with everyone.

 

Before I found out about Dr. Yuksel's unique technique for lifting the upper lip, I looked into a couple of other techniques for lip lifts, but they all involved making scars on the lips or face. Dr. Yuksel's technique is all done from inside the nose, so there are absolutely no scars. I could not be more pleased with the results I got from this technique. It made a huge difference in my facial proportions, and  gave me a fresh, youthful appearance, but no one had any idea that I had done anything. I have gotten more complements on my appearance since doing this procedure than ever before.

 

I want to encourage anyone who is unhappy with their thin or sagging lips to take advantage of the benefits this procedure has to offer. The procedure is pretty easy, because it's done right in the office with local anesthetic. I had it done on a Thursday, and was back to work on Monday.

 

Lip suspension is a huge improvement on older lip lift techniques and fillers. In fact, I since found out that using artificial fillers can actually encourage gravity to pull the upper lip down even further over time. My past use of collagen injections was in fact causing my lips to look thinner and less attractive, because the weight of the filler was pulling the lip down. A better, and more permanent alternative for adding some volume is grafting a small amount to fat to the lips at the time of the suspension procedure. Adding fat is a great for people who need to add a little volume along with lift. About 30% of the fat that is injected will remain, and is permanent. I've had mine for years now, and it looks much more natural than the collagen, because it is soft and it moves like my own natural tissue should.
